In Dutch: Het IJ
The IJ used to be an inland arm of the IJsselmeer. Nowadays, it looks more like a canal. Many buildings are build upon the IJ. The IJ forms the natural border between district Noord and districts Westpoort, Westerpark, Centrum and Zeeburg.
